That's something I bet you never thought about when shopping around for your new home: What kind of opening of the garage will take me? If you get your home from a house or an apartment, is the idea of buying or replacing garage door opener probably never in your mind. Finally, it has never been your responsibility.
Well, now it is safe. Garage door openers, while the need in terms of relatively rare items, maintenance or repair, are stillmechanical and break at the end.
In general, there are only three reasons why someone would ever replace their garage door opener:
What we have is broken - replace The most obvious reason is the need, a broken or damaged units. Since a garage door is a pain having to manually open, open your requested after the break a rule, an immediate reaction (a trip to the hardware store). The opening race which is very slow - wait for no one enjoysespecially on those cold winter nights, when they come home from work. If the garage is slow, the only real option, with one that has quickly replaced. The opening race that is strong - while the garage doors have always had a mechanical noise when opened, it is sometimes too much noise to cause trouble. Reduce the damage caused by the purchase of a quieter engine and hardware support.
We bought WD822KD Chamberlain as a solution to the problem number three in our garageBring it sounded like a tanker truck is on a concrete wall every time we opened. Initially did not bother us, because the novelty of buying a new house was still there, but after the wear and tear, while the nerves started.
Features
What we had on this particular engine, it will be much quieter than a conventional engine. Other important features are:
1/2hp motor Steel rail system Two remote controls included the opening of doors and turn onLighting "Transmission belt" - to be quieter than a chain or a screw Lifetime warranty the engine and drive belt (important)
Installation
I took the old machine with the help of a friend of mine (and a couple of beers) and had everything in about half an hour. Then follow the instructions provided with the Chamberlain, we had everything up and running in about an hour. Everything has to fit exactly as it should, and I have no problems or situations thatwere not covered in the manual.
I have a little time 'on the most remote and the main control panel, but once I did was enough. The entire project took about three hours from start to finish, and I'm not an entrepreneur.
How does it work?
Now, for the good stuff works as it should? Well, my wife and I are very excited to see how it's done. He had the honor of the Open button, and our garage door began to open. No strongNoise, no clunking, no sound effects or zero defect sounds of terrible things. Only the sound of the wheels in motion on the track and the "buzz" of the engine.
Very, very close. I was impressed.
Completion
This is a great engine. Open the door to take a few seconds, but boy is never quiet. For the price I do not think there is a better alternative, if the noise is a problem for you.
Pros:
Quiet. Easy to install. It looks pretty good. Two remote controls are easy toProgram.
Disadvantages:
Are not the least expensive by any means. Takes a few seconds to open the door.
Overall, a great piece of machinery is highly recommended!
